Oxted Parish burial ground was opened in 1968 when the Parish Council acquired land adjacent to the churchyard extension. The burial ground offers both individual and double plots for burial, and a garden of remembrance for cremated remains plots. All are situated in a peaceful, rural setting, with views over neighbouring farmland.
The burial ground is maintained to a high standard and managed by a parish council working party that aims to maintain the burial ground as an attractive and tranquil memorial to those whose lives are remembered there. We welcome relatives and visitors during daylight hours, and trust that they will always find the grounds well cared for.
The day to day administration of the burial ground is undertaken by the parish clerk who is able to help with any queries, including the application for placement of memorials.
The Parish Council would be grateful if any incidents of theft or vandalism are reported to both the Police and the Clerk at the earliest opportunity.
