From Monday 22 July, visitors to Oxted will be able to enjoy two hours of free parking in Ellice Road car park between 8am and 5pm on weekdays. Parking is free outside those hours and all day at the weekend and on bank holidays. Oxted Parish Council is delighted to have recently been able to help Hurst Green School. The school children have, for many years, had to enter school via a door which led them through the toilet area. Oxted Parish Council is delighted to have funded the planting of two trees and the services of the gardener to plant these and others provided by Knights Garden Centre at Hurst Green School. The Parish Council funded the reinstatement of the verge last year however it was considered that having trees along the verge, which the school children could help plant and care for, would give the area a more pleasant appearance.
